We’re delighted to confirm that we will once again be hosting the National Youth Omnium at Middlesbrough Velodrome on Sunday 7th June, delivered in partnership with Manilla Cycling.
After the success of previous editions, it’s fantastic to see this prestigious national event returning to the North East, giving young riders the opportunity to compete at the highest level of domestic track cycling.
Why this event matters
The National Youth Omnium is a key date in the youth racing calendar, bringing together the best young riders from across the country to compete across multiple disciplines in a single day of racing.
For us, hosting events like this is about more than racing:
Providing high-quality national opportunities in the region
Supporting rider development pathways
Showcasing Middlesbrough Velodrome as a national-level venue
Giving young athletes the experience of racing on a big stage
A big year of events ahead
The Youth Omnium is just one part of what’s shaping up to be a huge year for events at the velodrome.
We’re currently finalising plans for:
Additional regional and national track events
Youth and junior racing opportunities
Community participation events
New formats aimed at riders, clubs, and spectators
We’re excited to be launching our full 2026 events calendar very soon, and we can’t wait to share what’s coming next.
Get involved
Whether you’re racing, supporting a rider, volunteering, or spectating, events like this only happen because of the incredible support from the cycling community.
