Learn to Ride (1:1)

Earn your accreditation and unlock the full velodrome experience.

Over the course of two structured sessions, riders will take part in a series of coached drills designed to assess their confidence, control, and group riding skills on the track.

This practical assessment focuses on key areas such as:
🔹 Safe starts, stops, and track entry/exit
🔹 Riding solo and in groups across all track lines
🔹 Spatial awareness and group etiquette
🔹 Technique drills including through-and-off, chaingang, and mock racing
🔹 Confident use of clipless pedals

The sessions are progressive and tailored to group ability. Riders who successfully demonstrate the required skills will be awarded their Middlesbrough Velodrome Track Accreditation, enabling them to take part in Structured Quality Training (SQT) sessions and track events.

📌 All riders must already be confident on the track and have a good level of fitness and bike control.
